Sinopsis:
Jame Lynx es un oficial (Piloto LEV) de 49 años en la Fuerzas de las Naciones Unidas. Cinco años antes, recibió la notificación de la muerte de su esposa Rachel que dejó un mensaje en el Laboratorio Nereidam de Marte y, al mismo tiempo, sus hijos desaparecen de casa. Sinopsis:
Z.O.E. 2167 Ídolo se desarrolla 5 años antes que el juego de PlayStation 2 "Zone of the Enders", y se centra en el incidente Deimos, una acción terrorista de los Revolucionarios de Marte.
Durante el incidente, los rebeldes atacan la base de las Fuerzas Espaciales de Naciones unidas en la luna marciana de Deimos y roban un prototipo de armadura orbital, el cual lleva el nombre de Ídolo y le da título a la OVA.
Otra nota sobre esta serie es los caracteres femeninos que tienen una semejanza llamativa a Viola, el antagonista del juego.
