Need for Speed Shift es la decimotercera entrega de la serie de juegos de carrera Need for Speed publicado por Electronic Arts. Fue anunciado en enero como parte de un juego de tres que incluye el anuncio de Need for Speed: Nitro y Need for Speed World Online. Esta desarrollado por Slightly Mad Studios. Se centra menos en el estilo arcade de ediciones anteriores y más en la simulación de la experiencia y el conductor está siendo descrito como un juego de carreras construido por corredores para corredores.

Con una llegada a las tiendas europeas el 17 de septiembre, este nuevo capítulo de la saga se centra en las carreras, contando con conducción realista y daños en tiempo real.
